Eaglemont, 60,000 Years responds to the Heidelberg School’s representation of the Australian landscape by exploring the many layers of stories held within a place. Inspired by the landscapes around Eaglemont and Australian light, this work moves beyond a single moment in time. Through vibrant layers of hills, waterways and abstract forms, kangaroos, emus, birds and the black swan emerge as co-inhabitants of a living landscape.
This work offers a contemporary perspective on the relationship between people, nature and place.
